Along with spring and summer come the bugs, and they can drive you buggy (yes a pun intended).
One of the best things you can keep handy is mint oil. A few drops in a sprayer mixed with water keeps some of those pests away. MIx enough mint drops with water to have a nice minty smell it doesn't take much.
I use it on my small deck to keep spiders away but mainly I use it to keep wasp from building nests on the underside of the wood and plastic. I also spray my outdoor umbrella, the underside of the outdoor table, the swing set and underside of slide where the will also build nests.
I spray weekly but I know what I am using will not hurt any thing.
Tee tree oil sprayed on your grass helps repel ticks you can use it on clothes and skin to repel ticks also.
To spray on lawns I mix it with water like I do the mint. On myself you can use it direct but i took a small spray bottle and mix it with water and spritz myself and the kids .
BE CAREFUL NOT TO GET MINT OR TEA TREE OIL IN EYES IT WIL BURN. (Rinse with water if it does occur)
So be carefull around children don't put it on their hands because they always rub their eyes.
